A) Rain Forest
- two types of rainforests: tropical and temperate
- tropical are found near equator
- temperate are found near coastal areas, north and south of equator

Almost no trees due to the short growing season and permafrost; lichens, mosses, grasses, sedges, shrubs.

Regions south of the ice caps of the Arctic and extending across North America, Europe, and Siberia (high mountaintops)



These forests mostly consist of conifers, trees that grow needles instead of leaves and cones instead of flowers.
